Race Description:
For 2008, River’s Way will host a duathlon/triathlon at Osceola Island, just below the dam on South Holston Lake. The parking lot at Osceola Island provides a perfect transition spot for the race. Racers will run around the island on well maintained forest trails. The cycling is the same route as last year, on open country roads in the rural area surrounding the lake. The kayaking will be on the river, between the weir dams and the main dam. Since the TVA will not be generating during the race, the river in this section is more like a lake.
